Hello,
My family and I chartered the Sea Devil the last week of March 2008.
Our trip consisted of myself, my wife, and my 3 teenagers.
It was my 7th Charter trip, and our 2nd as a family.
The Bottom line: Rich and Terry did a wonderful job with the Charter and I would highly recommend them. The
boat was clean, the food was very good to great every meal, very good amenities (snorkeling gear, 500 dvd’s,
kayaks, 10’ runabout, SeaRay power boat, spear fishing gear, hammock, etc…). Rich and Terry were very personable
and easygoing too. They have made a lot of additions to the boat like a huge bench seat in the back, solar panels and wind
generators etc… Personal touches abound too. Some of the Charter boats I’ve been on are treated like "working"
boats by the crew – Rich and Terry treat Sea Devil like their home because it is. The only downside is that we did not
have the best weather (high of 73) and it was very windy on most days (mostly the wrong direction to sail!). In spite of the
marginal weather Rich and Terry did everything that they could to make sure that we had an enjoyable time on-shore, on the
boat, or at the reefs – and boy did we!!!!
I don’t know if you have ever chartered before, what other
boats that you are considering, or what your expectations are, but feel free to email or call me with specific questions. Thank You Bill S Ohio Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a Sophomore from University of Southern
California. My friends and I spent our Spring break with Rich and Terry in the Bahamas. Safety was definitely an issue for
us as we were all girls traveling to a place where we have never been before. I would say I was really worried about the trip,
and honestly at first we were all repared to stay over in the hotel if the situation doesn't seem permissible, even though
we were traveling on a budget. But as it turned out, we didn't have to stay in the hotel at all, because the catamaran
was comfortable, clean, and extremely safe. It was definitely one of the best holidays we've ever had. Rich and Terry
is experienced in whatever they do, always making sure that in whatever things we wanted to do, safety comes first. We have
traveled to a lot of places in the world with great beaches, and I would say that the beaches in Bahamas was unbelievable.
Rich and Terry were also very protective towards us knowing that we were all girls. Rich would always keep an eye on us when
we were kayaking, snorkeling, or even just swimming in the sea. We felt very lucky to have found them as our host in the Bahamas.
Their hospitality was amazing, with Terry always making sure we have what we need and enjoy every minute of our time in the
Bahamas. The trip was worth every penny that we spent, and we are definitely coming back! Last but not least, Terry's
cooking was amazing, she cooked good and healthy foods.
Yours Sincerely, Sarah S
University of Southern California Sea Devil Saved Our Vacation Just as we set sail for the Bahamas this summer, we lost a rudder.
Rather than wait for repairs and delay our vacation, I searched for replacement boat with little real hope of finding one.
I came across the Sea Devil website and sent an email. Rich responded right away that they had a cancellation and could accommodate
our party of four. Had I known a broken rudder would turn into such a great vacation, I would have broken it myself (sorry
Paul). Rich and Terry live on the Sea Devil and it is set up for comfortable living. Rather than the standard charter boats
with the basics, they could facilitate everything for us. When we wanted to check out Green Turtle, they made a golf cart
available for us to take, they have tons of movies and flat screen for rainy weather, a full cockpit enclosure for dining
outside even when the mosquitoes are hungry too, a center console fishing boat, kayaks, snorkel and fishing gear. When we
wanted dinner and live music, they found it, when we wanted to meet up with friends at a different location, they found a
local mooring site. They went above and beyond on every request, including the food and beverages! Every single meal aboard
was great, as were their on shore recommendations. Best of all for people who were sailing their own boat over, no anchor
checking, no little unexpected repairs, no coordinating dockage, no worries, and Terry brought me the perfect cup of coffee
every morning. Better than a cruise ship. I can definitely recommend chartering with the Sea Devil and plan to do so
again myself. Deb C. FL A wonderful experience on a fully crewed
Catamaran in the Abacos Islands - the jewel of the Bahamas. Did you know that the Abacos Islands possess the 3rd largest Coral
Reef in the world? The same kind of Vibe as the Caribbean, and it's closer to home and easily accessible from Florida.
Beautiful weather, good sailing and snorkeling, parties, some of the best beaches in the world. Fully crewed, all
inclusive charter for up to 6 people Johan Catamarancruiseclub.com We
just returned from an Amazing three day trip aboard the S/V Sea Devil in the Abacos. I wish we had booked for a week, but
because we were three couples, we were unsure about how close the quarters would be for 7 days. We shouldn't have worried.
The berths were as roomy as the bed in a motorhome, and each room had its own bathroom. Rich and Terry were the ultimate
hosts. They invited us into their home, and entertained us like family. Rich is a very knowledgeable Captain - having worked
in the Navy for years; and Terry did it all - steering, guiding the boat onto the mooring ball during a short squall, and
cooking. She is an Amazing Cook and we were truly treated. The bar was always open (Rich makes a mean Rum Punch), and we were
welcome to wander around any part of the sailboat. The weather conditions were a little different than we had hoped (some
rough seas), so Rich changed our itinerary a bit. Because we hadn't known exactly where we were going to go in the first
place, it was ALL Good. We would highly recommend Rich and Terry and the S/V Sea Devil to anyone wanting to sail the
azure water of the Bahamas at their own pace, and at a reasonable price. It would be romantic for a couple, fun for a family,
or entertaining for couples. We LOVED it, and would love to go back again. Sue Woods
